Faculty Development Program at SIMS, Pune

I started my 2019 India trip by delivering faculty development workshop on Constructive Alignment at Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Pune. Focus of my workshop was on understanding the need of aligning course learning outcomes with program learning outcomes and what benefits can be derived by following the practice.

SIMS is a leading graduate business school of India and interacting with best lecturers of SIMS was a real pleasure.

Chartered Manager status for Hardik Vachharajani

In July 2017, Hardik Vachhrajani was awarded prestigious Chartered Manager (CMgr) status by Chartered Management Institute of UK (CMI UK).

Chartered Manager is the highest status that can be achieved in the management profession.  It is recognised as gold standard in leadership excellence around the world.

In Australia, Chartered Manager qualification is jointly offered by Institute of Managers and Leaders ANZ and Chartered Management Institute UK.  Hardik is in one of the first cohorts of Chartered Managers from Australia and New Zealand region.

Process of award involves reflection based assessment which is followed by interview from CMI UK and peer references.

Lecture at CSR Symposium

Various centres and departments of Amrita University India and RMIT University Australia jointly organised a symposium on NGOs and Governance of CSR on 5th January 2017 at Amrita University’s Amritapuri campus in south Indian state of Kerala.

Symposium gathered practitioners  and academics from CSR domain from India, Australia and Germany.  Hardik Vachharajani made a presentation focussing on different perspectives to CSR pursued by large v/s small firms.  Presentation took the examples of a leading corporate company and a leading small firm from India and compared how CSR approaches were different.

Lecture was followed by interaction on the topic.  Masters students attending the symposium discussed future of CSR and sustainability with presenters.

TEQSA and HECQ Forum Presentations at Melbourne

The Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) and Higher Ed Services collaborated for the inaugural TEQSA Conference Sharing Excellence: Assuring Quality in Melbourne on 9 November.

Higher Ed Services’ Higher Education Compliance and Quality Forum Sharing excellence through collaboration followed the TEQSA Conference on 10 and 11 November.

Hardik Vachharajani partnered with Dr. Jess Oliver and Mr. Sajan Cyril to present outcomes of two academic works during the forum.

In presentation with Dr. Jess Oliver, outcomes of blended learning experiment using Facebook as online tutorial platform used at AIH Higher Education was shared.

Paper presentation at XIth International Conference on Applied Business Research at Pattaya

In September 2016, Hardik Vachharajani presented a co-authored paper at XI International Conference on Applied Business Research (ICABR) at Pattaya, Thailand.  Paper was authored and presented with Dr. Harpreet Kaur as main author.

Conference was jointly organised by Kasetsart University Thailand, Mendel University Czech Republic and Slovak University of Agriculture Slovakia.  ICABR is a series of prestigious conferences run for last XI years across the globe.

Paper discussed car buying patterns of consumers in India.  The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Nigel Holden from Leeds University UK.  The presentation was followed by questions and answers.

Certificate in Social Sector Leadership from Berkeley Hass

Hardik Vachharajani recently achieved Certificate in Social Sector Leadership offered by Philanthropy University.  Philanthropy University is an initiative sponsored by Philanthropy U, Inc., a non-profit registered in the U.S., and powered by Berkeley-Haas.

Program involved seven courses on areas covering all major elements of social sector leadership and management.  As a Philanthropy University alumni earning a Certificate in Social Sector Leadership, Hardik is invited to take advantage of the special alumni benefits created by Berkeley-Haas for motivated impact leaders.

“Certification will help me improve my impact on social sector projects which I am currently advising across Asia, Pacific and Africa”, Hardik added.

Appointed as GIMI Certified Ambassador for Australia

Hardik Vachharajani was recently appointed certified Ambassador for Massachusetts based Global Innovation Management Institute (GIMI) for Australia region.

Workshop on Leadership and Management

On 9/Feb/2016, Hardik Vachharajani jointly delivered a workshop on leadership and management to 19 South Korean university students visiting Australia on study exchange.

Hardik discussed cross-cultural issues in leadership and management using engaging exercises. Visiting students enjoyed the workshop.

Workshop was organised by AIH Higher Education, Sydney.
